Dragon Boat Club at ASU

About the club

A bunch of ASU students who like being on the water.

Who we are

We're an ASU student club that practices at Tempe Town Lake. We're here to paddle, make friends, and spend some time outside of class.

We compete in dragon boat races too! But you don't have to be here just for racing. Hanging out with the team is a big part of it.

What is dragon boating?

Dragon boating is a team paddling sport. Paddlers sit in rows in a long boat and paddle in rhythm to move the boat together.

Roots in China

Dragon boating has its roots in China and is connected to the Dragon Boat Festival. The tradition brings communities together through boat races and festival celebrations.
